Abstract Heart failure (HF) is a complex clinical syndrome that can result from any structural or functional cardiac disorder that impairs the ability of the ventricle to fill with or eject blood. The cardinal manifestations of HF are dyspnea and fatigue, which may limit exercise tolerance, and fluid retention, which may lead to pulmonary congestion and peripheral edema [1]. Automatic Devices: The Next Frontier of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation?-Juniper Publishers

Unfortunately, the human chest dissipates most of the energy applied during the massage, consequently rescuers need to change frequently not to allow the fatigue to impair their performance. But, the recurrent interruption of the massage reduces the effectiveness of the resuscitation even further. This is the raisons d'etre of the automatic devices: to overcome the negative effect of fatigue and interruptions. This is a 43-year-old male who presented with ventricular fibrillation cardiac arrest induced by cannabis in the setting of previously undiagnosed BrS. With the increasing prevalence of cannabis use, it is necessary to be aware of its potential adverse cardiovascular effects. This case highlights the diagnostic and clinical challenge of BrS and a raises the issue of cannabis as a potential provoking agent of malignant arrhythmias in BrS. JUNIPER PUBLISHERS - OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL OF CARDIOLOGY & CARDIOVASCULAR THERAPY   Abstract Complete occlusion of left main coronary artery (LMCA) is an unusual manifestation of coronary atheromatous disease. Most patients with chronic total occlusion of the LMCA presents with angina, some presents with myocardial infarction or congestive heart failure, but they rarely present with cardiac arrest and survive. Here, we report a rare case of chronic total occlusion of the LMCA who presented with cardiac arrest as a first manifestation of coronary artery disease. Our case is interesting as this patient didn't have any risk factors for coronary artery disease, had no angina symptoms before presentation, and had normal left ventricular systolic function.
